ABE/GED® Classes
The Adult Learning Center offers ABE/GED® classes during the day and evening. Learn more about classes here. The ABE/GED® program has hosted its final placement evaluations of this school year. The next opportunity to enroll in classes will be in September 2022. More information will be available in August.

English Language Acquisition Classes
New Students  -Select testing dates are available for April and May. Seating is limited and is available by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, please call 757-648-6050. Additional testing information will be available in July for the fall session beginning in September pending space availability.

Returning students - Welcome ELA returning 2020-2021 students! Please review this document for additional details for returning students.

ELA Testing - Please review the following to prepare for ELA testing and review the program's testing day processes and procedures. Applicants will need to complete an Adult Student Profile Document (ASPD) and the 21-22 school year ELA program registration form in order to participate in testing. These forms can either be completed on-site at the ALC with the support of staff or can be accessed from the ALC website. Completed forms will need to be returned in person on your testing date. No electronic completed forms will be accepted.
